turehu

The Turehu is a fairy and he is engaged to Tui because that was the deal that they agreed to so he would help find Tui and Kais mum. Their dad took her to the underworld. After they find their mum Kai gives his ukulele to free Tui so she doesn't have to be engaged to the Turehu.

weekend

 On Sunday I went for a bush walk with my family in Waikanae. It was very muddy because it had been raining so my shoes got all wet and dirty. We had to cross a little  stream with rocks on it so we didn't get wet but we got wet anyway. Me and my sister were running because we wanted to be first but  Chopper ran right in front of us and bet us.

On Saturday I went to see some very close friends. We went and played basketball and we got hot so we went for a swim in Raumati. It was cold at the start but we got use to it. When we got out of the water my friend thought he got stung by a jellyfish because his foot was red and swollen.

My writing

 During the holidays I went kayaking down the Waitohu river. Then we went fishing at the dunes with Saul and his brother ari we used squid as bait and we caught a fish about 15 cm long but we had no idea what it was. Then we took the hook out of its mouth and let it free. We also went white baiting on the first day we only caught 5 but on the second day we caught a lot we also went to the dunes to white bait but we had no luck there. On the last couple of days of the holiday I went to sauls house. We had a nerf war and we made a war zone in the sandpit with little army soldiers.

End of Term Reflection

 This term we have been reading chapter books. I choese the chapter book hatchet. It is about a survival story also we have been learing about equivalent fractions over all it was a good term and I had lots of fun apart from the fact that all my soccer games were cancelled.

15 minute write

 So I was going for a stroll in town and I sore a dinosaur and it was eating everyone so I stood up straight and I...ran as fast as I could screaming for my life and I ran all the way to antarctica of course there was 1 or 2 meters of swimming but like I was running for my life  so no big deal then I saw some penguins so I yelled group hug and they all came in for a hug but then I realized that there are dinosaurs here so i had to say “goodbye” to the penguins and I did and then I thought “I should take one with me” so i took one with me so now we are running away from the dinosaur and screaming for our lives we out run it somehow and we built a boat out of ice then we went to australia and our boat started to melt then I realized that we were in the desert anyways I didn't need the penguin anymore so i said “ I will let you swim back to your home now” and then he gave me a big hug and swam away after a while I met a koala his name was “bob” and he was a wanted criminal so I told him you shouldn't be out in the open.

My heroine

 My heroine is my mum. She is short and she has very dark brown hair and she is most of the time wearing pants. She has dark brown eyes and she has tan skin. She walks the dog every morning and she is very sporty.

Her personal qualities are that she is very hard working. She is kind and thoughtful. She makes lunch for me every day. Sometimes she comes with Chopper (My dog) to pick us up from the bus stop. When we have time we go to the beach or the sand dunes to walk the dog. 

My mum makes me feel happy because she spends time with me. She makes me feel safe because she takes care of me and she makes me feel nice because she is kind to me. 

Her achievements are big. One of her best achievements is to be able to take care of me and my sister and to tell me that me and my sister are no better than each other.

So that was why I picked my mum to be my heroine.
